Avoiding sugar all together can be accomplished with a little will power, percevierence and a few easy to use techniques that can keep you from becoming a needle dependent diabetic.
Avoiding sugar at work can be especially difficult due to social obligations and peer pressure so avoiding sugar in those moments when you don't have to will make it easier to accept sugar when you do.
Have Discipline. During the year, there are holidays and celebrations which are ‘treat dense’. Avoid the sweet at all costs.
Make friends. Have a non sugar group or have friends who encourage and support you with not eating sugar. You can also help others with their sugar habits.
Bring your healthy snacks to work. A bag of raisins and nuts is a good alternative, if you don’t suffer from any allergies. Fruit slices, unsweetened chips or nuts, or a salad are also good options.
Never miss your Breakfast. Always eat a big healthy breakfast before yo go to work. You’ll be less prone to snacking during the day, and any calories (energy) you do accumulate with your breakfast, you’ll burn off throughout the day.
Exercise away your anxieties. Go over the 3 day hump and your cravings will decrease day by day. Take a walk or go out and take photos, keep active especially during the first week.
Write a Diet Diary. Keep a journal of your feelings and cravings throughout your non sugar journey. It’ll help more as you read it back when you’re feeling weak.
Limit your sugar intake. Only accept home made treats. Always accept gifts but when you get home, offer the to someone else, or give the away to someone in need. Don’t offend anyone by not taking something, just don’t consume it, they should respectfully accept your decision to not eat sugar.
